Drew McIntyre is out of the King of the Ring tournament.

Shortly before Monday’s Raw, General Manager Adam Pearce posted a video on X announcing that McIntyre was “not medically able” to compete on the show. As a result, he was removed from the King of the Ring tournament. McIntyre was set to face Finn Balor in a first round match.

McIntyre hasn’t wrestled on television since April 8, when he lost a four-way match to determine the next number one contender for the World Heavyweight title. He hasn’t wrestled since April 20, when he lost to Jey Uso during WWE’s European tour in Belfast.

In the men’s King of the Ring tournament, other matches set for Raw include Kofi Kingston vs. Rey Mysterio, Ricochet vs. Ilja Dragunov, and Gunther vs. Sheamus. For the Queen of the Ring, first round matches include Zoey Stark vs. Ivy Nile, Shayna Baszler vs. Zelina Vega, Lyra Valkyria vs. Asuka, and Iyo Sky vs. Natalya.
